Heading 1

We have been advising and guiding our clients for over 34 years

E Berman & Co. Solicitors is a Chatswood law firm that has been providing quality legal services to the public since 1984.

Our clients range from individuals to small businesses local to Chatswood and the North Shore. Our approach to our clients is to provide a leading service, in a cost effective manner.

Staff members from E Berman & Co. are local to the North Shore, and take great pride in the local community. On top of a passion for law, our staff are very friendly. Their enthusiasm and experience means your legal matters are in good hands.

Errol was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 1982. Errol has been practising in New South Wales since 1982. Errol is highly experienced in numerous legal areas especially Business Matters, Family Law, Commercial Litigation, and Wills.

Errol practised as E Berman & Co.  from June 1984 until 1989. He became a partner of Parry Carrol Kanjian, a city practice, from January 1990 to December 1995. In 1995 Errol resumed private practice as E Berman & Co and has continued in this role since then.

Errol’s aim is to provide an efficient and cost-effective service for clients in need of any of the diverse legal services in which we practice. Errol has great integrity in legal practice, which is clear from the strong client relations he has built up over the years. Errol has always undertaken pro bono work and recognises the importance of being able to contribute to society. Errol is also a notary public and a mediator.

In an adversarial situation Errol looks for the most pragmatic and economically viable  solution to the problem at hand. Errol's experience has shown there is seldom a happy client on either side at the end of a fully contested court hearing, which usually means even the winner is unlikely to recover all of his or her legal costs.

Errol is married with 3 children and is a soccer fanatic. He also frequents the local gym on a regular basis and is a fitbit fanatic.

Annie Lin was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2015. Annie has completed a combined Bachelor of Laws and Finance, as well as a Diploma of Languages (Chinese) from the University of Adelaide. She has previously worked at law firms Stan Kwong & Associates, Norman Waterhouse and Berrigan Doube Lawyers.

Annie is fluent in both English and Mandarin, and has been invaluable in assisting the firm with our Chinese speaking clients. She has been Secretary and Vice President of the Australia China Youth Association, and was a volunteer for the Australia China Business Association.

Outside the firm Annie enjoys hanging out with friends, food and walks in the park.
